Description

Finofibrate Tablets is used to reduce cholesterol level in people who are suffering from or at high risk of cardiovascular disease. They work by activating peroxisome proliferator activated receptor alpha which later activates lipoprotein lipase. These tablets belong to drug class of fibrate with ability to reduce LDL and VLDL levels and increase high density lipoprotein. In combination with stains, Finofibrate Tablets are prescribed for hypercholesterolemia and hyperglyceridemia. They are known to be metabolized by glucuronidation with protein binding ability of about 99% and elimination half life of 20 hours.
