Olmesartan Tablets are angiotensin II receptor antagonists that are indicated for treatment of high blood pressure and hypertension. Olmesartan is known to have molar mass of 558.585 g/mol with chemical formula C29H30N6O6. With bioavailability of only 26%, they are metabolized in liver having elimination half life of 13 hours and excretion from biliary system and kidney. Olmesartan Tablets are admired for having targeted mode of action with high effectiveness and no adverse health effects if consumed under prescription. They are administered with 20 mg of dose initially which is gradually increased to 40 mg after 2 weeks of therapy.
